Rhythm of my Thoughts

 

The rhythm of the day

flowed into life

on rising steam –

- full bodied coffee

set morning thoughts

                              drifting…

 

… life’s meandering path has brought me here

decisions made … choices … detoured steps

all played a part in my journey

bringing me here, to this moment

this place … this cup of  aromatic coffee –

- brought me to these thoughts that flow

like crumpled silk

uniting mind … heart … soul…

 

There have been opportunities

lost to procrastination

moments have passed by

while I

stumbled in hesitation

ventures unventure’d

while I analyzed

probabilities

of success…

 

Nothing ventured… nothing gained

so the saying goes…

… today is alive and waiting

be brave… live life.
