ABOUT THE BIRTH TOTEMS

The twelve birth times are represented by totems, each one an animal that best expresses the qualities inherent at that birth time. Earth medicine associated an animal totem to each birth time (the two sets of dates below the animal reflect the difference in season between the northern and southern hemispheres) these animals help to connect you to the powers and abilities they represent.

EARTH SIGNS by Grey Wolf
Book Description

In the West, most people know their zodiac sign, and many know which animal represents them in the virtual menagerie of the Chinese horoscope. Earth Signs shows you how to discover a different sort of connection--a connection with the natural world, through the shamanic traditions of Native North Americans. Earth Signs offers you a form of personal guidence, by telling you what parts of nature--animal and mineral--you are identified with by birth sign--and by revealing how those earth spirits can help you choose the right path in your earth walk.
