Working With The Animal Totems
I've been a professional artist most of my life, mostly as an impressionist painter. In 2003 I had a powerful dream where I saw the world around me as spiritual energy. After that I was able to paint energy in everything I saw, infusing my paintings with something that is hard to explain but obvious when you see my work in person. With this in mind I eventually formed the Energism Art Movement. The purpose of my work and this art movement is to raise human consciousness and promote healing by helping individuals connect with the universal flow of energy. My art serves as a catalyst or doorway for this connection. After many years, I developed a method of combining my images with resonated glass, metal and ground opal to create my jewelry. I infuse each with the spiritual energy I channel while creating. Every one comes out a little different as a result. My artwork is currently in the collections of Deepak Chopra, Carnegie Mellon as well as a lot of private collections. Note: People often label my energy jewelry as chakra jewelry or yoga jewelry, but you can call it what you want.
About This Art Style The swirls in this image represents the spiritual energy that exists all around us. Pioneered by artist Julia Watkins, this art style, known as energism, seeks to use art to help humanity connect to universal energy flow promoting both healing and higher consciousness.
